Bombed again, but this time ....

.... it was only "normal sized" bombs - a few of them and this time they actually splattered and
beaded up on the Fast Finish protected surface. It was too dark to get them off after work last night, so I`ll try to get some proof, err pics before it rains today.

Why don`t you go the Home Depot and get one of those fake Owl`s and stick it in the tree or put it on stick next to your car?

I did that at my old house because we had pigeons pooing all over the awnings, I can`t remember if it worked or not, but it might be worth a try

I know, right? Up until now, not a speck of bird poo, then all of a sudden, wham.

At my old work location, I had a cardinal that did a job on my mirrors. It would sit on mirror and peck at it...along with the poop. It did mar the mirror.

Ive got a rogue Robin here that is killing me and the neighbors cars (I only leave mine out when I have a car to detail but that is enough) The neighbor got a fake owl and put it in the lawn (looks stupid and totally unnatural sitting there like that) and the Robin could care less. lol

Birds and mirrors - I have a Oregon junco here that does that same stuff. Perches on the side of the car and pecks at the mirror. When he`s not pecking at himself, he`s leaving a Mt. Everest of poo on the side of the car.
I`ve talked to him and told him how nice Oregon is right now and how the wines of the Willamette Valley are spectacular this year but he doesn`t want to go to Oregon at all. He`s way too interested in the lady juncos here.

My theory is that this is the mating time for the juncos and this fellow has staked a claim to the ladies in the neighborhood of my car. He looks in the mirror and sees himself but thinks the mirror image is a rival for the affections of the local ladies, hence the continual pecking to ward off the perceived interloper of his ladies affections.

Since he didn`t respond to reason, I tossed an old relegated to wheels microfiber over the mirror and the problem was solved. No pecking if he can`t see himself. When I start the car, I lower the passenger window, grab the towel, toss it into the back and put it on when I get back home.

Once mating season is over, this little fellow leaves the mirrors alone so the towel adaption is a short lived scenario. Maybe your situations are similar.

It`s not a problem of poo landing on the doors under the mirrors, it`s with it landing ALL OVER the car. During the last assault, the largest landed on the windshield fortunately, while the ones on the paint beaded up from the Meg`s FF on the car.
