    In Nashville for work...

In Nashville for work this week. My first time here and I am really enjoying the city so far. Really nice people and the food is great. I am staying by the Opryland.

Any local Nashville folks here have any recommendations for food? (I am all about the food)

    So far we have tried:

    Martins BBQ
Scoreboards (Its right by my hotel and office)
    Pharmacy Burger
    Five Daughters Bakery
    Jeni`s Ice Cream

Have not been disappointed with any of them. Any other go to places or must try places?

Looking for recommendations for hot chicken too! There are several debates here in the office of who has the best hot chicken - Princes, Hattie B`s, Pepperfire etc.. Its funny to see people debating on it but Hot Chicken seems to be serious business here. Thoughts?!

All in all great city! I look forward to bringing my wife here.

That is one thing I have been dying to try. Keep us updated on what you get because my wife and I were probably going to go out there next year.

I was in Gatlinburg last year and ate at Calhoun`s. I am told it was a chain, but it was VERY good!

Not food but look up Blackstone local brewery if you are into craft beers. They have a delicious porter called St. Charles. They are local to Nashville.

Food wise: The Stillery and Answer are both awesome!

I forgot about The Centennial as well.
And during lunch only find Daddy`s Dogs if you like hot dogs. But it`s a stand and not a sit down good joint.

If your in for some drinks check out the yazoo brewery in the gulch area of downtown. Solid craft beer with some tours they provide. I`m fond of the sue beer it`s a dark beer that has a nice smoked flavor to it it lacks it at over 8% so drink easy. As far as chicken hit up princes for sure, his sauce is not for the weak but it is delish. And if your into hockey it doesn`t get better than Bridgestone arena it`s electric currently but the tickets are hard to find and not the cheapest.

Haha I am sorry. I sometimes forget to snap pics but I did snap a pic of the burger I had at the Pharmacy and probably some of the best tater tots I have ever had.

Thanks! Huge hockey fan. We were trying to get tickets for tomorrow night for the Predators game but our company office out here got rid of the shared box

This was the burger from the pharmacy. Really great burger! And the taters oh man. I finished them first before I even touched the burger.

This explains a lot! I am right next to the Opryland resort at the holiday inn express but I saw a ton of people today dressed like they were in the movie Grease and I was wondering what was going on. I also saw a few cars with covers on them and figured there was a car show happening somewhere. Have fun!

Darfons - 12oz ribeye. Medium rare. Was a bit more on the rare side which i dont mind at all but had a very nice flavor.
