its better than that even. Free tuition worth $40k. Paying for that yourself with after tax money would take about $60k of income. Then add the $30k stipend, so we are at $90k of value. Plus free health care, which I`ll armchair estimate at being worth $500 a month for a single person (add another grand for a small family), and we are at about $96k of value given each year to these snowflakes by the institution they are protesting against. I think the national average family income is less than $50k per year in this country. sad that victim status has now become an aspiration, especially among these well educated liberal elites.

I`m not a fox news fan by any means but the article does mention that they are striking for better union benefits. It doesn`t go into great detail of what these union benefits are but it does state what they are striking about.

Maybe there is a better way of going about it then a "hunger" strike. Like sitting down and having a conversation but this article presents a lot more information.

Note they only spend 14% of their time teaching and researching. So 30K a year for spending 14% of your time teaching and doing research and getting your tuition paid plus free health care? Come on now.
