Rich or Poor, it`s good to have money.

This happened to me this morning, I told a guy in my office and he thought this should be a scene in a movie. Proud moron that I am, I call my wife to tell her of my recent accomplishment. She says, “You are such a child, what makes you tick?”

It’s 6:10am: I am outside putting my garbage to the curb. My neighbor is going out for a run when a black E350 pulls up. A “man” gets out. We say hello and my neighbor introduces me to the man who is his brother-in-law.
The man looks at my 06 Saab in the drive way and says, “My kids turning 16 and is botherin me for a car, I should buy him one of those tings”.
I reply, “You should, it’s a cheap, safe car”.
The man replies, “Yeah, cheap, it’s good for a kid”.
I reply, “You should really consider giving him that car you are driving, that’s a good car for a 16 year old, and what man drives a base model E class? My mom drove those for years”
Puzzled, the man says, “Whada you tawkin about?”
I walk to my Saab and hit the garage door opener, the door rises.
    Inside is a black 2006 AMG CLS55.
I reply, “That is a man’s Mercedes. You shouldn’t sell yourself short, go in there and take a look.”
Like a castrated alley cat, white as a ghost, the man began his run, only without my neighbor!

-As some of you know, I am in the process of opening a used car dealership/detail shop. I have started to buy the inventory and have had some INSANE toys at my house the past few days.

It still feels good and it happened 5 hours ago. Much better than drugs.

I`ve seen this ape on my street before, I remember a few months ago when he got that sled he drove it to my neighbors house and beeped the horn. My neighbor came outside and made a big deal about it for the ape. I guess I should have known he was suffering from L.W.S.* at that time.
I couldnt imagine going to someone`s house to show them my new car, unless it was some Ferrari or collectible. When you are 16 its the thing to do, when you are a father of a 16 year old, you look like a jerk @ff.

    9-3 sport sedan.

It`s my 4th Saab in a row, there are mechanical issues with all Saab automobiles, but they back the product like no company I have ever seen. I dont keep the cars too long though, I lease them and Saab offers you a new car when you have 6 months remaining on the lease. I have had two for 18 months, one for 30 months, and the current car is 3 months old. (15k miles was the longest driven)

When there is a problem, the dealership either sends a brand new car to my driveway as a loaner and tows or drives my car off. If I drop it off at the dealer, a loaner car is waiting. No repair on any of the cars has taken longer than a few hours. I also have never made an appointment, I just call or stop by and they take the car from me. For that reason alone I will continue to buy Saab cars.

My mom got a 2002 Saab 9-3 SE Anniv. Edition Convertible (2.0L/5 Speed) in October. She loves those cars. It`s her second, her first being a `99 9-3 Convertible/5 speed.

sneek - these cars can be had used in the sub-$10,000 range if it`s older than 2000.

Re: Rich or Poor, it`s good to have money.

The CLS is a rocket ship. I drove it from Westchester to Wrong Island. I will say it demand attention, both good and bad. Driving through Queens, every person with a dented up 88 Honda or Nisssan wanted to pull up as close as they could get to it and show me their chrome wheels. Maybe they thought I was their drug dealer friend or possibly a rapper? When I got closer to my house I actually saw many women practicing their best chicken neck imitation and fixing their hair. This car is a tremendous tool. I highly recommend it to anyone single or looking to become single fast.

Today I am picking up a 2002 BMW M5 in red - nice car just less bling appeal.

G35: The CLS looks to be sold. If I have the cash today by 5pm its gone. If not, its yours!

I was just playing...The CLS55 is my dream car...It is an absolute bachelor ride, no question. You can pull just about anything you want with it...I consider it the "4-door Continental GT".

Ha great story. It took me over a day and 5 reads to understand it though. I misread E350 as F350. Thinking big truck, it threw everything off from that point.

LWS and stupid are two different things....please don`t confuse them.

I have suffered from LWS from time to time, but I`m smart enough not to run around town showing my latest toy off to my friends.

This gent suffered from both LWS and stupidity. Sad thing was he was trying to "flex" on someone he didnt know.

Do you remember the joke where 2 guys are at a urinal and one looks over and says, "Oh, you have a girlfriend named WendY also?" This fool didnt see that my tattoo actually read "Welcome to jamaica have a nice daY".
