Me and This Darn Black BMW

I clean the car every day with the CA duster, S&W and QD....after my last clay and polish/ wax the cars finish is like a mirror....have to say its the best I`ve down with black.....Now being that the car has no metallic in the paint every thing shows up on this paint......yesterday after I got done cleaning it, I went to the grocery store parked like six miles from the store...in-fact I think that it would have been closer to walk from the house

I come out of the store and down the trunk lid I see this long drip looking something about 12 to 15 inches long and 1/4 inch wide....I touch it and its an oily stuff red in color like transmission fluid....then I starting thinking....I left the house drove straight here parked in the north forty....there is not one car with in 10 spaces of me where did this come from.....best I can figure is outer space.

I know that I`m anal about the car and getting it dirty doesn`t bother me but when things like this happen I just keep scratching my head in wonder...LOL

thats why you shoudnt drive black cars with tan interiors once there washed, polished and sealed/wax take some picture and save them in your wallet, so where ever you go pull them out for show and tell or print it on your shirt it easy to clean and maintain...

I have had a very small amount of red oil drip from my overhead garage door opener before. Mine falls between my two cars.
Check you garage floor for a small red drip.

Black looks damn slick when it`s clean and waxed... Unless you use QD like me, it is only like that for about 15 minutes in my experiences... Haha.

Oh man can I relate to black!

After getting the Porsche cleaned up in the garage, roll out into sun and DOH, fine marring in the finish. CRAP! Go and fix that.

Once cleaned again, a few Z8 sprays and I`m off.

Seems I get people with Cell camaras taking pics of the car often. Black sure looks stunning when clean and shiny!

I just love Porsche black! One of the best looking blacks out, but soft.

    Enjoy your black BMW!!

I heard there was a spaceship flying over RP the other afternoon, Dave

I don`t own a black car, but we`ve got two red trucks, and my Blazer is a darker blue with a significant amount of flake, so I can more or less relate to your experiences, `cept I`m one to lose his temper over the small things
When was your last polish/wax, when I met you at P&S a while back? Looked pretty impressive back then... How often do you polish that darn thing?

I maintain the finish daily with S&W and QD....polishing is about once a month..that helps to cut down on the swirls
