According to FBI: UCR Table 12, there were approximately 374 people shot and killed with rifles of any kind. There were 1,604 people killed with “knives or cutting instruments" This FBI table breaks it down by state.

That reminded me of a story I heard on NPR. It was a British politician with a thick cockney English accent that was going on and on about what I thought he was saying, `night crimes` and that it was becoming an epidemic. The story wasn`t making much sense until I realized that he was saying `knife crimes`.

I wish that was our only worry.
