voter records suggest 19-year-old Nicolas Cruz was a Democratic voter.

Well spotted, Ron! Now we`re getting somewhere towards a real solution to gun violence (and a host of other problems).

Why does this only happen in the USA?

Historically it has happened in other countries as well, but those countries actually had the guts to do something about it. Not like the government cowards we`re stuck with.

Take Australia for example, after a mass shooting in 1996 they passed new gun legislation on semi-automatic weapons and shotguns. They also put in place a more thorough background check, a 28 day waiting period, and the requirement to present a "justifiable reason" to own a gun.Self-protection does not qualify as a justifiable reason either. And guess what? They haven`t had a mass shooting since. Zero.

Are Australia`s gun laws the solution for the US? - BBC News

Other countries like Switzerland, on the other hand, have gun ownership stats similar to that of the USA but again, mass shooting are extremely rare with only 2 happening in the last 20 years. Whats the difference? Switzerland has extensive, mandatory health insurance, which allows schools to have direct and immediate access to psychologists and intervention teams.

Which takes us back to the whole mental health issue politicians love to use as a scapegoat. But do the same politicians turn around and pass bills providing funding for more in school psychologist who are trained to deal with troubled individuals before it turns deadly? NOPE!

It`s a BS cycle of all talk with no action. But don`t worry their "thoughts and prays" are with the families.

In my opinion it’s because we’ve become a society of “anything goes” with no repercussions. We’ve been trained that we’re not to say anything when someone does something that might not quite fit with what was once the expected norm. Heck, we’re not to call attention to someone even when their actions are overtly suspect because we as a society, are being brain washed into thinking that we’re to accept everything/everyone.

There were markers that this kid was going to be a problem but no one followed the markers simply because we let everything ride. Truth is, if someone would have called this kid out before the shooting, they’d be the bad guy.

The holster was equipped with a trigger guard designed to prevent such accidental discharges, so the department is reviewing the circumstances surrounding the event.
Of course, I know I hate when liberals talk about the 400+ people that have been shot in the 200+ school shootings since Sandy Hook. If only the clearly bias liberal media would realize that for every school shooting where people were injured or killed, there are several more school shootings where no one was shot or killed.

Do you think that this reason is unique enough to the USA for these repeated shootings to only happen in the USA?

What ELSE has happened in the USA in the last 30 years since this started happening? Theres always been guns here and they havent gotten easier to obtain with fewer laws in play in the last 30 years. This is a cultural problem, which stems from a lot of variables not just guns. The big question is weve always had guns, why is this happening NOW?

@DBAILY, I feel like you’re asking me a loaded question. Atrocities happen when a collection of the right/wrong elements come together. Terrorism as with ISIS or the Taliban, Slavery, Hitler, Saddam’s use of chemical weapons against Iraq’s own people etc. happen when the perfect storm of elements collide. In each of these cases the people watched it happen. If you’re asking me specifically if I believe guns are the cause of this tragedy or if gun control is the fix for this problem, I do not. If you’re asking me where I think the problem really lies then I’ve stated my opinion.

Mocking God, mocking God worshiping people, the down fall of the family, changing morals........... Me, me, me, me, not us or you and me (or I).

    That about does it.

How many lefties demanding “more gun control” fell down laughing when @realDonaldTrump-hating actor Johnny Depp said, “When was the last time an actor killed a president”?
