Did you know a portion of the coal going to China comes from the US? I`ve seen more railcars filled with coal recently than I have seen in years. It keeps China from buying its coal from N. Korea.
On a seperate note, China is buying farms (peanuts) here in S. Georgia and is looking to buy processing plants for said peanuts. This is forcing more and more farmers out of farming. There is no such thing as a "small" farm around here anymore. They are multi-million dollar concerns now. The farm equipment is now run by GPS where the farmer never actually has to drive a tractor. Amazing times.

I`m all for Capitalism and free market, but America switching to a more protectionist attitude toward our natural resources wouldn`t offend me in the slightest.

The goal is to be better nor worse -- Trump has double downed on lying blame, swamp stocking, working with Russians, etc. One cannot claim the moral high ground when one (Trump) is worse than the ones he had criticized.

Re: The Unofficial *Official* Politics Thread
Nixon got re-elected too. Anything is possible if the Democrats run another unlikeable candidate. The majority of Americans voted for Hillary, but we now know Trump was speaking the truth and the election was "rigged". Lol. Now Putin says it is possible Russian hackers messed with our election after saying "nyet" before when the question was asked.
Re: The Unofficial *Official* Politics Thread
Putin now saying the CIA could have been the hackers. After Kennedy and 911, anything is possible. Our enemies are internal and have been for decades.
