Re: The Unofficial *Official* Politics Thread
It looks like Trump is pushing the US closer to war. I`m not really surprised. A war is great for the economy (not so great for young men). It would also give Trump broader "Wartime Powers" over the US population. Trump set a new record low point for initial Inaugural Approval of a Presidents job performance at 45% (45% approve, 45% disapprove, and 10% have yet to form an opinion). It`s going to be a fun 4 years.

Rush has predicted that we will not have democratic leader ship for at least 25 years and that`s a good thing for America
Re: The Unofficial *Official* Politics Thread
Trump does not strike me as a peacemaker. He wants to be the center of attention like no one I have ever seen. It looks like he wants to go to war with Muslims, Iraq, China, and more than half of the US population. I believe many were giving him time to see what kind of President he would be, but the first 2 weeks have been a train wreck. He needs someone to tell him to stop peeing on the carpet and just try to bring America together. But when it`s all about yourself it`s hard to think about what is best for someone else. Pray for Devine intervention.

I`m thankful for those kids in Berkeley for showing us what tolerance looks like. Imagine what America would be like if we were intolerant and rioted every time someone suggested a different point of view.

This country already commits a lot toward humanitarian aid around the world. Sending money, food and medical care isn`t enough. We`re supposed to let them come here. And when they come here, we also owe them a job.
Where does it end?

Probably 100% true.
However, at least he is doing SOMETHING to address this issue. I think he reason why Trump was able to get elected is because America is sick of "business as usual" in Washington.

That type of project would really benefit a lot of people along the border by creating jobs which I think is his real purpose in building it. If he really wanted to keep people from coming into this country illegally there`s a very SIMPLE solution. All he has to do is impose a huge fine of $100,000 for each undocumented worker any company, farmer/rancher, contractor, or any employer has on their workforce. Those companies who are hiring undocumented workers will have to either pay up or go down when they get caught. Sooner or later, companies will understand it`s just not worth the risk of hiring undocumented workers AND the best part, it won`t cost us the TAXPAYERS any money at all.

I`m also for building a wall between us and Canada. Just for Lolz & jobs... Make mandatory job core / public work service a necessity for those collecting welfare. Run it like the military. Will be good for all. Those are tax dollars I wouldn`t mind paying. Worked well for FDR.
And, I believe, the more we separate ourselves from Canada the better.

Limbaugh?
Don`t like him, but would agree with that concept. We got in the position we are in today from politicians that vote whichever way the wind is blowing.
We need someone now who can act more like a parent and administer some tough love to the country. IMHO, that is the only chance we have of turning things around and not allowing America from slipping in to a ultra liberal state of income redistribution and socialism; although we are already halfway there.
A lot of American people believe people are entitled to free this, that, and the other thing (services, monies, goods). But there is no mention of this in the Constitution.
Re: The Unofficial *Official* Politics Thread
It`s pretty ironic that he`s so eager to simply threaten another country with war yet he doesn`t like paying his fair share of taxes to support paying for the same Army he`s going to be sending off to war.

Fair share? Theres been absolutely no indication he did anything illegal or unethical with his taxes. The system needs to change.

Please define "fair share"
I can almost guarantee that he paid what was required by law.
# fake news # sure you pay more than you`re required to.
Re: The Unofficial *Official* Politics Thread
No, I never said he did anything illegal or broke the law in any way. Yes, the system must be changed and I know he did use the system to benefit from not paying taxes based on his own responses not from #fake news#.
