The Boxster S is a nice car, I will admit that. I kinda stuck my foot in my mouth in the above posts. I ahve just seen so many damend beautiful 911 Turbo 3.6 (996) cars F-L-Y across auto-x courses, that I just love them. But then some cocky guy in his Boxster has to go out there and fly off course, causing a 30 minute delay.

    Sorry, ending rant.

    Nice car.

When I started my lease on my Jetta in the Service area waiting room was Viper GTS. The saleman was showing me the service area and telling me about the loaner program. I asked him if the Viper was a loaner he said they have whole fleet of vipers just for loaners. Well I never have gotten loaner, always got the shuttle or had ask a friend for a lift.

Yes, Steve is right. The Boxster was a loaner, but the dealership "retires" their loaner cars after a certain number of miles and then sells them as used cars. I was originally leaning towards a new Z4 or waiting to see the new 350Z roadster, but the price was right for the used Boxster. It`s my first Porsche, but hopefully not my last. Now, if I could just get my bank account balance to keep up with my wish list..........

    My name is Scott
    I live in Mesa, Arizona
    I am 42 years old
I have four kids from 5 to 14
I have been detailing for about 14 years as a part of my business. Most of it is Fleetwashing and pressure washing. This is what I do for a living.
I don`t have any sportscars, just big movers of one kind or another. A black Powerstroke Crew Cab and a Powerstroke Excursion. It is a major effort to detail these things, especially since my truck is a work truck. You can measure the time it stays clean with a stop watch.

Just a minute guys. All I said was there are two types of boy`s clubs. One that is populated by guys and the other which is only open to guys. I know women have been here before, and I meant that it`s only populated by guys (at the time). Now Marj has joined us and I`m sure there are a few who simply read posts that will soon speak up as well. I never said women were not wanted.....

Marj- you took no offense and that is the only thing that counts anyways!

    So Steve: :p LOL
JimS doesn`t know me just yet so I`ll let is slide....

If you badmouth another Porche, I`ll come gut your Mustang and dump the parts all over the street

J/K I understand the "better than you attitude" that wanna be affluent drivers can display. A lotta SUV drivers around here think they own the F$(%*&$ road just cuz their rig is big. You see it in a lot of midlevel "sports cars" here too like Grand-Ams, Firebirds, Camaros. None of which have mullets, mind you. They have to chirp their tires at every light. The "entry level" BMW and Benz also introduced cell phone talking dweebs who think their important now and expect you to move for them.

    Steve,
I knew that Marj owned the Boxster. I poorly explained what I trying to say and missed my point. Just that some dealers have really nice loaners and give them to a select few. No, the dealer does not loan out Vipers the salesman was joking, but do sell new Vipers

Someday I will own a Boxster or Porsche. Purchasing an ex-loaner makes good economic sense.

They always have high-end loaner cars avalible at good dealers. Sometimes when there all out of them they give something from the used car lot.
