I can`t get rid of these awful end tables because has treated them like a cage for himself for the past 13 years.
I even make him take the long way around the furniture to get in there.

Forgot about this thread. When my old friends passed this last summer we got a “English cream” Golden retriever as some call them puppy. He climbed on my wife, Jenny’s lap when we got to the farm where him and his brothers were with the Mom and Dad.
Here he was the morning after we got him
Now he’s a crazy giant puppy lol.
Thanks for letting us share

This is Daisy. She turned a big 1 year old today.
And this is Polly. Her slightly older but smaller sister.

jrock645- (Well, of course they`re cute ) Do they interact more with each other or with people?

They definitely wrestle and play with each other a lot. You can’t see in the pics, but Daisy is considerably larger. For a mini dachshund she’s a bruiser. And while she looks like a little fluffy sweet girl(which is what I call her) she’s quite the hell raiser. She actually seems to like everyone she meets. They love her at the vets office. Polly is a very dachshund-y dachshund: she does the trademark head tilt and paw lift, loves to snuggle under a blanket, and has all the dachshund facial expressions. Also typical for dachshunds, she’s a bit choosy about who she warms up to.
I haven’t gotten them out to socialize very much at all. Need to work on that.

jrock645- Yeah, funny how every now and then a dog pops up that simply defies the usual Breed Behavior and loves everybody! Our current female Beauceron is like that, utterly atypical, and thus she too is very popular at the Vet.
And yeah, work on that Socialization It really does make a lifelong difference. We`re all about that "100 new people in the first 100 days" whenever we get a new one, with a heavy emphasis on people from other demographics and LOTS of LEOs.
Not a dog - so feel free to ban me. But, I`m adopting this guy this afternoon from a local rescue. Pic doesn`t show it - but he`s huge! 15lbs.
His story is, he was found on the street with an open infected wound. Brought to SPCA & they were going to just put him down cuz of costs. Somehow a cat rescue got involved and got him treatment. That was 6 mos ago and he`s all healed up & ready to go.
Been looking at rescues for a month & somehow knew this guy was for me when I met him and after hearing his story.
This is going to be his brother - my 10 yo Ragdoll, named Buz, I`ve had him since he was a kitten

Swanicyouth- Ah, I just *love* the story behind that big boy, and he`s really well proportioned for a 15lber! How do you think Buz will be with him?
We`re still between cats...we`d have to take the Beauces cat shopping and find one that knows how to put big dogs in their place. And to be honest, I never realized how much time/effort cat ownership took until being without one for a while (well, our last one got pretty high-maintenance in her latter years but she was worth it to us).
