I think on any other forum you would be considered a freak. You fit in here. I have been known to wash one car three times in one day. 1998 Corvette. I was 21 and loved that car. Sadly, never waxed it. Was my dad`s and it was silver.

Mods, why is this post not deleted? This is uncalled for. Everyone needs two grit guards or their paint will turn to a marred up mess. Ban this man immediately

    Re: Confessions Thread

Here`re some Autopian Confessions for ya:

IMO Detailing shouldn`t be one of life`s big priorities. ( It`s sure not in my Top 5 even with broad categories.)

    -AND-

Much as I work towards keeping my vehicles marring-free, I honestly don`t think that`s even remotely Important in Life`s Big Picture. I have friends whose vehicles are utterly scratched up, and I couldn`t care less, nor do think they should.

    -AND-

I about people who only detail "the parts that show".

    -AND-

Similarly, I think it`s silly to care about somebody else`s opinion regarding how well-detailed one`s car is.

I won`t use Maguiar`s products anymore because I`ve purchased four bottles of interior detail spray in different months that were rancid.

Not a confession, but I`ve had two bottles that smelled bad too. I wondered what in the world were they trying to get it to smell like, but it was bad. Threw them both out, and both were brand new.
I still don`t believe in grit guards.

I listen to Sinatra- fly me to the moon before I start working on cars in my garage, it became kind of a ritual after a Mopar I did a few months ago.

Then I play more Sinatra through my earbuds during polishing sessions.

I bring out my big detailing bag when I don`t need it even if I`m detailing a car right out in the lot to look cooler and more professional for potential customers. I also bring out a lot of professional products that I don`t even plan to use, just so they think I mean business.

I mixed 30 oz of DG Fast Clean & Shine with 3 oz of Permanon Supershine, and 6 oz of Klasse SG for a franken detailer. I expect it to be a hit and to make millions!!!

Huh, so I guess mine are rancid as well, they just smell weird. Now I`m not sure if I`ve even smelled a good bottle.

    Re: Confessions Thread

You folks who got rancid Meguiar`s Quick Interior Detailer oughta contact them for replacements. Last I heard they recognized that a bad batch got released and were making it right for people who contacted them about it. IME Meguiar`s and their vendors are good about replacing stuff like that.
