Over at AGO, I can`t believe someone would actually create their own "News" thread. I`m sure the person is a nice person from what I`ve read, but imagine me creating a "Exp News" thread. Give me a break...
Confession: I wish I could confide in a community about though things that really matter to me and my family. I have a lot of questions and redit`s autobot examiner wasn`t playing nice. I am a veteran who has a lot of time on his hands, and wish it wasn`t so. I`m supposed to be fixed by now, but, here I am. Dude, my silver paint couldn`t look any silver than it does. I`m looking for some product that will distract me awhile. Anybody feel me?
I just 1 bucket washed my van.

I`d like to say that I understand but unfortunately, no one that hasn`t been in your situation can fully appreciate what you`ve been through. I would tell you thanks for serving, I appreciate our Vets.
This said, instead of looking at how great your car is today set a different goal, maybe one that you haven`t tried and won`t break the bank. Maybe that`s a coating of the vehicle top to bottom, wheels/barrels, glass, treat the interior, de-badge it, detail and paint the suspension. There of course other hobbies that might take your mind off of things but detailing is good for my head and I suspect it is for others also.
The beauty of the Internet is that there is a community that can and will discuss anything, sadly it takes a while on any of these sites to get to know what you can and can`t say.
A society willing to trade liberty for temporary security deserves neither and will lose both

I`m a Vet too. I`m sorry you still feel "broken". The only thing we can do is hope and pray you will feel better when you wake up in the morning. And silver is never shined enough. Lol
Why IS it...? I can blow through police presence at outrageous speeds in a black CTS-V, and yet if I drive a red convertible 2 miles over the speed limit, I have always gotten read by "Instant-On" from La Policia.
Not, that I am begging to meet the police, mind you. (Only two tickets in the past 20 years). Both in Red drop tops.
"Profiling"? Gripe, gripe....

My baby girl is off to college in a couple of weeks. We bought her a new car today. I realized today I am not as prepared as I thought I was for her to grow up. Seems like yesterday she was in pigtails and had to stand on her tip toes to give me a kiss goodnight. Combat was easier than this.

I`m interested....
Tipped on what total bill amount? And tipped for what service?
And before you answer, I`ll tell you I`m not a fan of tipping - either getting or giving. I never expected to get them way back when I would do paying jobs - I just told the person upfront what I expected to be payed for my time. Why would I have expected anything above and beyond what I considered my time worth? I also don`t like feeling guilted when hiring someone to do a job for me and they expect me to pay more than a quoted price. Again, tell me upfront what you think your time and expertise is. I just personally don`t like the gratuity economy. Not saying I don`t tip, because I do, but again it`s a gratuity and not an expectation.
I still don`t believe in grit guards.
I was just curious about your thoughts. Tipping is just, uncomfortable, for lack of a better word. Should I, shouldn`t I... I`d rather just decide on a price upfront. And then there`s the whole restaurant industry scam on tipping - it`s way for the restaurant to pay a server below minimum wage, and servers "expect" your tip, whether or not they provide much service or not and then get mad when you don`t leave a tip for that cold food and no refill while they hang out at the bar and chat it up or text... Just the whole thing makes me try and avoid it if I can.
