my face, well my cheek is damn near swollen my mouth shut.

    i hate the dental industry
left work yesterday went to dentist, who saw me for 15 mins, charged my insurance and said i need to see an endodontist. well i could have told them that!
so over 100 out of pocket later that day (well see if insurance reimburses that) i go 30 miles to the same endodontist who did my root canals back in 2006.

he says its so swollen i need to take meds for a week and come back when swelling is down so they can see what the problem is bc he says it itsnt clear what the problem tooth is. said it may just go away altogether-ha sure.

anyways i had to call in again today because i can barely even speak clearly and i work on a phone.
hope its better tomorrow because i have to go to work, out of sick days until march- yikes.

cross your fingers that it gets better soon, i have a drop off saturday and another job booked wednesday..both of those are almost a must do now since i found out i have crappy dental insurance and it only pays half of a root canal and crown.
probably cant even schedule the root canal if its needed until mid

good thing its enrollment time now.

i regret not taking better care of my teeth until recently.

id rather miss work for a detail job or round of golf than dental woes

on the bright side (pun intended) my high gloss order comes in today but its normally dropped afrer 6pm

Brandt, hopefully the meds will help till you get in again! I personally haven`t been very good with my teeth, and I grind them in my sleep. So now all my back molars are cracked. Can`t eat anything sugary or I will jump 10 feet in the air from pain.

In other news got back in last night to find out I have no hot water. Hell, not even any pressure from the hot side. The water around here is terrible and it`s probably clogged up. It is 13 years old, and the average heater lifespan in my town is 7 years, I was on borrowed time.

Take it from a guy that has like $30k in implants in his mouth - your dentist(s) sucks. I been to many a sucky-a-dentist; so I can spot one right away.

Sucky dentists send you to other "dental specialists" - like endos, when they don`t know what`s wrong. Sucky endos always say "you may need a root canal - but I can`t tell for sure". This is to cover their azz if they RC the wrong tooth or don`t fix the problem. It`s analogous to parts hanger mechanics.

Oral antibiotics never cure dental infections. Someone needs to figure out what`s wrong and fix it. It may wax and wane, meaning it may seem better in a week - mark my words, it will be back.

My dentist is awesome, but expensive (so worth it)...

let me book a ticket to PA then, lol

the worst part of the whole deal is that I have zero time off until march and if I miss one more day before December 19th I am at risk of losing my job.

I may have taken a few liberties with the call ins over the summer to get some of those mopars completed. always thought I`d be screwed if some medical emergency came up...but I was betting on the house

I Agree, I found a new Dentist after not going for 7-8 years due to hating every dentist I had seen. Found a guy who does sedation as by the time I need to go I was in need of pulling all my wisdom teeth (they were all in place but so far back in my mouth/jaw it was very hard to clean them properly) one of them had split into pieces eating hard candy. Not many dentist do sedition so I guess it was luck I searched for that and found him, he does everything in house. He loves his job actually works a full day and is always doing further education on new and emerging procedures. He is not cheap but he is very convenient, Crowns are a one time two hour visit start to finish has all the machines to 3d scan and make and bake your new crown at his office. I hate making multiple visits to dentist for easy problems, with him if he finds a problem he will ask if you want to take care of it now or schedule another appointment. Every other dentist I have seen turn everything into 2-3-4-5 visits, every person I hear from that gets a crown done (which takes me 2 hours in one trip as i said) its consult visit, visit for root canal and if your lucky they make the post that day and give you a temp crown then come back in week or 2 to test fit permanent crown then come back in 1-2 weeks to have permanent crown put in as they have to send it back to be baked.

Wow. I`ve had a temporary on for 2 months. The VA sends off the mold to have a crown made. It takes well over 3 months to get a crown put on. I had a root canal several months ago and it got infected. Then the antibiotics made me super sick. I had to pay extra for the sedation dentistry but it was worth it. My root canal took 3 hours to perform the first half and then I had to go back for him to finish the 4th root. I don`t know what I would have done without the sedation. The endodontist was 100 miles away and my VA dentist is 70 miles one way. Dental work sucks.

    Random thoughts thread

I got a huge coincidence going on right now...

Two different clients that live in this same complex...

Two matching Mercedes, same color, same model, both wanted the same package Wash, Clay wax, vacuum, leather conditioning.....

And both matching excuses to put it off for later, multiple times! I`m surprised these two don`t know each other!

(The second text is another excuse in case your wondering)
