salvaging a title varies by state
for instance in Texas for hail you can keep your car and we dont even stamp the title as salvaged
for flood- you cant keep the title. its salvaged for flood and taken from you and the dealerships (mostly shady ones) will buy these suckers up like crazy and do whatever they do with them which kind of scares me to think about people buying those vehicles later on
I was left with a strong impression that a lot of these cars dont get crushed and are essentially bought by shady dealers (but then again I ask A Lot of questions and always find out info beyond my job duty/title- just curious by nature)
I am lucky, I have great kids, I let my older one go, and it was an EPIC move of a time. Came home no worse for the wear. Some of his friends were no allowed to go, and I really believe that if they have earned your trust, you need to trust them, and not shelter them bc in a year he will be away at school, and those sheltered kids end of going HOG wild after being so locked down.

Perhaps take the dog for a 12 HR walk
Better to put the kid on the leash.
A society willing to trade liberty for temporary security deserves neither and will lose both
