Re: Random thoughts thread
One of today`s news headlines: "Passenger`s bag may have lead to NYC helicopter crash". The article goes to discuss the pilot of the failed aircraft things one of the passengers bags may have it the fuel shot off switch for the helo, which lead to the loss of power and the crash. I would think something as important as a master fuel shut off switch would have a cover on it to prevent this exact thing from happening regardless of placement inside the aircraft!
A horrible tragedy regardless. I just hope it wasn`t the result of human error/negligence.

Thanks for this , Desertnate..
Yes, a really sad tragedy for those people..
I have only flown a couple times in a helicopter, over islands in Hawaii, and they did NOT allow anyone to bring bags with them..
Thoughts and prayers for those people..

Re: Random thoughts thread
I flew in helicopters while in the military and always hated them. They were always falling out of the sky for some reason or another.
Re: Random thoughts thread
Going through a stack of mail and noticed the ex I moved into this house with (several years ago) received a warrant roundup card for an unpaid citation in a neighboring city.
Considering she let herself out many years ago and never came back, I thought it was sweet someone was actually looking for her, hahaha.

That sounds like Texas. Here in Georgia, it`s a Warrant served.

I would call them so they don`t end up knocking on your door at some point.

Sorry to hear that you feel that way towards somebody you (presumably) once cared for :(
But yeah, I agree with Coleroad about informing them of her move so you avoid what could be a real hassle.
Re: Random thoughts thread
The second thing I thought was, better tell them she`s not here so they don`t come knocking. I`m home all day.
I called..can`t reach a human but I sent an email on their page.
Edit- called pd, they said it`s a traffic citation they don`t serve those in person especially not 50 miles away.

Re: Random thoughts thread
512Detail- Might want to follow up on that email...I can imagine some [individual] thinking that *she* sent it in and deciding your address oughta receive a visit (that`s if they even check their email and see it).
I`m always posting stuff from the LE-friendly POV, but I`ve been there when they came a-knockin` for somebody and it was, uhm....interesting. "She`s not here, she moved out ages ago" will possibly just make them *more*, uhm...diligent...about seeing whether she`s there or not, while predisposing them towards thinking that you are a possible obstructor (or worse). Just never know how such stuff will play out, so I`d avoid it if at all possible.

I was just debating this. I did more research and I have to send them a letter with specific info.
What a hassle!
If I only had a stamp.
Guess I`ll be getting a stamp soon.

Re: Random thoughts thread
Heh heh...getting a stamp is a lot less hassle than getting a visit might be!

Re: Random thoughts thread
Has anyone had any luck selling detailing stuff on Craigslist? Or is there a detailing forum with a For Sale section? I`m wanting to sell my Rupes 15 Mk2 but I don`t have an eBay account nor would I really use one.

If you hit a grand slam, it’s only fair to give two of those runs to the other team
