Re: Random thoughts thread
I watched the Funeral for Billy Graham today...
It was very well done; his children are all amazing in their own ways..
They talked about good things and bad things that happened to them and how they saw their Dad love them, help them, and be there for them..
He and his Sweetheart evidently did a great job raising them..
It was great that President, Vice President and their Spouses attended..
Remember my Parents watching him on TV when I was a little kid...
Great man, great Missionary; Matthew 25:23 - "Well done, good and faithful servant... ""

My wife totally agrees with you. She would much rather have the ocean. Funny thing the dust was way way worse in Houston than it has been here. Plus, all the pollen you had to deal with. West Kansas was way worse for dust too.
Re: Random thoughts thread
Lots of pollen today, and start of luv bug season :(
Re: Random thoughts thread
I have a dumb question that I`m genuinely curious about. My wife and I grew up in the midwest and say slug bug.
Our daughters grew up on the east coast and say punch buggy. My question is. Is this a generational difference or a geographical difference?

Grew up in Michigan, and it was slug bug. First time I`ve ever heard punch buggy.

I hadn`t heard it either until we moved out here.
Re: Random thoughts thread
Huh, I never heard *either*.
Re: Random thoughts thread
Assuming you are referring to a VW bug. In the south Punch Bug comes form a dating game. If the guy sees the bug first, he gets a Kiss. If the girl sees it first, she gets to punch you in the shoulder. Needless to say it`s good date if she lets you win.:D
Re: Random thoughts thread
Now on to the more basic answer. It is a kids game to pass the time on road trips. Which ever kids sees the Bug first gets to punch his/her sibling.
I enjoyed the dating version much more.

Yep, remember that!! From Pennsylvania and we did that up here too. Also was the Pididdle(sp?) which was a vehicle with only 1 headlight working--same results depending on who saw it first. That was a long long time ago!!!!
