I am a little proud of my 4 year old son for noticing the noise and asking what it was though hahaha

brings a tear to my eye to be having an impromptu rock/dance party in the garage on a Friday night and have my 8 year old daughter request Joan Jett which turns into just friggin rockin to Heart

House of Wax- So they went from Joan to Heart?!? Sigh...at least that shows a broad-ranged appreciation for female rockers. Though, heh heh...I know some parents who wouldn`t want their 8-YO listening to certain Joan Jett songs (probably the ones I like).
Two of my favorites. Seen both in concert more than once. Was on the front row of a Heart concert, my wife was expecting our first child. It was so loud that we wore ear plugs. I remember wondering if my daughter would be born deaf. She’s always been a rocker and from the time she was one year old, any time I’d play a songs from Cinderella she’d come and find me and say, dance, Daddy, hold me up. We’d rock out together. She likes rock ballads to this day. She been a wonderful, no problem child, her first word wasn’t Mommy or Daddy but rather, Coke! I remember her waking up as a small child in the crib and saying I’m awake now, get me. She never did crawl out on her own. My son, on the other, you’d just hear a thump when he’d wake up and bail out of the crib, that could explain a lot. Seriously though, he’s a great young man too. Now my youngest daughter didn’t go to the concert. She has been deaf from the get go... go figure. She had to work twice as hard as other kids because she can’t hear. She reads lips, if she sees your mouth she hears you. Tall girl (6’ 3”), excelled in school and basketball. She played for both Snow College and BYU. Don’t have any idea why I’ve went down this road. Now you know my family.

GearHead_1- I for one appreciate hearing about your family
Wonder if your deaf (are we supposed to say "hearing impaired" or somesuch? I genuinely don`t know and some folks really care about such stuff) daughter will enjoy going to some concerts...I`ve known deaf guys who dug the vibrations as much as the the rest of us did the sounds.
Well, that`s probably a relief to you parentals
And I bet her air guitaring was cute as can be.
We’re not too PC about her hearing. She knows she can’t hear and doesn’t really care how we refer to the disability. If the way I have used that word has offended others please accept my apology. She actually has been to a couple of concerts. She has seen Trans Siberian Ochestra Christmas concert. That’s one where the music is only part of the show, the lights and smoke are quite entertaining. She and my wife also went to STYX and she had a good time. We’re told she hears about 15% of what others here. She functions quite normally but strategic positioning has helped her both in the classroom and in every day life.

GearHead_1- Ah, might`ve known about no real, uhm...sensitivity related to terminology
Yeah, I bet TSO *was* an especially good concert for her. That ~15% might be pretty significant compared to zero.

Picked up the new Call Of Duty tonight. Had a blast playing......LOVE that they went back to the WWII setting and got away from the futuristic garbage.

Customer just told me "Its a minivan but no One has ever sat in the passenger or back seat area."
That was just like waving a suspicious red flag to me. Who buys a minivan for one person?
Dexter Morgan would.
