I`m currently in the process of trying to get rid of my old 35" TV circa 1993 (it`s big, heavy, and doesn`t work). Trash won`t take it & Best Buy won`t take TVs > 32".
There is no local drop off place or recyclers for old school TVs. The people that will take them charge a fee. I am diametrically opposed to this. It`s like flushing $50 down the toilet.
I`m trying to think of someone who I really hate - so I can dump it on their lawn, Lolz. But, I don`t hate anyone that much.
Girlfriend says smash it to bits with a sledge hammer - then sweep up the bits. Sounds funny, but I won`t be doing that.
Thanks for the tip. I do have some V7 and will try it. I agree that V7 messes with LSP hydrophobics.
You can try to get rid of it on craigslist...peopel moght take it for free, but its hard enough to get rid of the big boxes normally. If it doesn`t work, Yeesh call trashman for pickup? As far as smashing them.... be very careful and wear some protective gear. That is a vaccum tube and you will get an implosion. Roomate in college busted one on top of the dumpster and parts mostly glass went all over. It was cool to watch though. Good luck.
My random thought. Typing on phones is a pain in the rear. I try and go over and proof read but the little reply box bounces all over and i always seem to miss something. Or as I`m finish up a huge reply it decides to lose everything thing that i did. Oh well.
edb- y follow-up thought is how I`ve never typed a message into a phone. Closest I`ve come is typing in the info for a handful of Contacts. I`ve simply never sent a Text via phone.
I`ve gotta say I love having good neighbors. We just moved in less than 6 months ago and haven`t had a chance to meet anyone out and about due to the cold, but someone`s been snow blowing our drive while we`re at work. I`ll have to figure out who it is come summer and offer a free detail and some good brews.

in the same conversation with the boss I was advised someone had complained about me being "negative" about customers off the phone...wow I guess I can`t talk to coworkers anymore....then she asks me if I can help train the new people on etiquette and gets mad when I laugh and ask if that was rhetorical (which it wasn`t btw- just ironic timing)
I just got a raise and I k ow I shouldn`t but... I think I`m going to spend it and buy me more supplies or a McCulloch steamer. Maybe I`ll just do both... Hmm... Decisions...

Now, if you will excuse me, I must go pray for wisdom from the Meguiar`s gods.
