its true, the Welfare, Disability, Food Stamps, Housing and Utility Assistance in most countries is completely corrupt. Still hails in comparison to the Billions of dollars that large corporations steal, cover up, and lie about owing each year. its not even close.

The corporate welfare for defense industry is a model of waste in the name of a good cause and jobs.
The real problem is that politics slows or prevents reforms of all these programs (corporate and people welfare). I think this is intentional so each side can keep their base motivated. Most voting motivations is the statement --- "I am not going to let xxxx take away yyyy".

C`mon Ron, you`re not seriously trying to suggest that large corporations don`t do their share of milking the system? Shall we start with the Cayman Islands addresses, the fact that companies like GE, Verizon, Boeing (frequently) don`t pay any corporate income taxes, etc.?
The Sorry State of Corporate Taxes | Citizens for Tax Justice
(I`m no follower or fan of that site, I just googled "large corporations that pay no income tax"; but I originally found out about this situation here: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/25/bu...5tax.html?_r=0)

"don`t hate the player, hate the game". until a fair tax plan is developed, people and corporations will use whatever "legal" write-offs they can to keep more of their own money and there are a ton of write-offs if you can wade through the ridiculous amount of irs codes. of course, the politicians who write the codes always win.

You hit it on the head!!! Almost none of us will volunteer to pay more taxes than we are required. If there is a way for any of us to pay less.....most of us would.
There is a misconception of what a corporation or a company is. It is not a person nor a single entity. Its sole purpose is to generate revenue to ensure its survival and most will stay within the boundaries of what is required by the law.

That`s an oversimplification. Corporations are run by people; people can choose to have morals, ethics and values. Corporations can choose not to employ lobbyists to create and exploit loopholes in the tax code. If the sole purpose of corporation or company is to generate revenue, we now live in a pretty sad world. I don`t think the Wright Brothers invented an airplane for the sole purpose of generating revenue. I don`t think a @#$%ing MBA ever invented anything.
Your whole argument is a huge cop-out; corporations are started by people--people who are inventors, visionaries, pioneers, entrepreneurs. Sure there was a profit motive, but it wasn`t their ONLY motive--they left that to the MBA CEO`s who run them now.
