Bunky- I sure agree with you (and Foose) on that one! Used to be that even the most tender-handed white-collar guy could handle basic repairs/projects/"work with your hands"-stuff and learning to do so had all sorts of benefits beyond the actual skills themselves (mindset, confidence, mastery-of-environment, etc.). Growing up, I thought *everybody* had a basement full of tools/equipment...because everybody I knew *did*, including the guys who wore neckties at the kitchen table on Saturday.
IMO it filters down to the Car Hobby too- most guys I know, their version of the Hobby basically just involves paying other people to provide whatever they want. Heh heh, guess I shouldn`t knock that since the Pro Detailers here benefit from that mindset
