Please we explain this to me.

Why in your opinion are some people "Poor"?

This may say otherwise. I believe money is made off the "Middle" class. Most "poor" people don`t have credit or worried about paying it off.

Therein lies the problem, as a people we have lost our moral conscience. This has nothing to do with race, religion or ethnicity. As a people we have no compass, it`s the path that requires the least from us that has become so attractive. Great Britian is famous for this model. My son spent 2 years there and said that the kids in high school look forward to graduating the required level of education so they can be "get on the system" by the government. There is a higher level of education available to these kids but fewer and fewer choose to go that route for much the same reasons the caller in this sound clip states.

It`s one thing to receive assistance from those who choose to help you (churches and their donations, good will gifts, etc.), think of this as the million dollars someone OFFERS to give you discussed in the clip. That is quite different than taking from those who would choose not to carry those who can carry themselves. There is a problem with people being held legally accountable for taking care of those who can work but choose not to do so. Seriously, if you don`t pay your taxes you go to prison. I agree completely with taking care of those who can`t take care of themselves, that`s part of the moral conscience, we strengthen the weak. Ironically it appears that the persons that can`t take care of themselves get less than they actually need (i.e. a large chunk of our senior citizens). The person in that clip admitteds herself that she is not one of the weak. She needs help but of a very different nature than that which she is receiving. I don`t know what percentage of people she represents but attitude is reprehensible.

This country has roads that need fixing, bridges that need building, windows that need washing, floors that need cleaning. We could even create jobs to better monitor the actual need of those receiving assistance and come out light years ahead financially. Take X amount that don`t actually NEED assistance and give that amount to those who monitor the system and come out ahead. Why is it that we don`t require those who can, to work for that which they receive? There is enough work in this country that needs doing. These jobs should not be attractive, they should be a means to an end. If the amount of work given doesn`t equal the assistance they receive, they move on and seek better employment. You don`t show up to dig that ditch, pick that peach or paint that wall and that monthly check that is always there, now isn`t. That`s how the rest of us do it.

I`d better get off of my high horse and shut up. Talking about this and even listening to this sound clip makes me sick to my stomach.

Isn`t it ironic that many of these prizes come from some of the least wealthy nations on the planet. If you haven`t, take a look at the email addresses and where they originated. Many claim to represent the International Monetary Fund, I see quite a few come from former President Jonathan Goodluck in Africa. While Nigeria isn`t among the poorest of countries apparently the Scammers don`t think the rest of the world can read as they still call him president and indicate that he has authorized this give away..
