I was gassing up the detailing rig and happened to notice a dripping wet, very new Infinity being wiped off with the gas station shop-towels that you pull from the garbage bins. I handed my card to the owner and said "you might incur a few less scratches utilizing my professional touch." The guy genuinely says "thank you" and then proclaims at the top of his voice that he ONLY uses touchless car wash and would NEVER take his beautiful car through a swirl o matic....as he continued to rub the paint down with a wad of paper towels.:nono

People think paint is a lot stronger than it is. They just don`t see swirls.

I have met some people that think that swirls are the part of the paint and they should be there.

Maybe we are the suckers for driving ourselves crazy over swirl marks which can be seen on 99.99% of cars?

Some people just have no common sense. I have seen people here in New England use the window squeegees they have at the gas stations to give their cars a once over in the winter...absolutely amazing!

honestly, i used to do that to my 88 nissan pathfinder when I was in high school. I also once put anti-freeze in its windshield washer reservoir.
