I went to Pep Boys today to get some Autoglym SRP, and next to me was a black Honda Civic. It was probably 4-5 years old. No joke, it has zero shine or depth left in the paint from all of the swirls. And these weren`t your typical swirls, it looked like the owner regularly washed the car with steel wool and polished it with Brasso. I know this was at least partly because the owner had a bad washing method, but would black Honda paint be soft enough to have these kinds of swirls from just regular careless washing? I have never even seen a jet black BMW with these kinds of swirls, and I know that color pretty well.

In my experience, black Honda paint is extremely soft. Even wiping with a mf towel can instill scratches.
