... he seems to have disappeared since March/April. Has anyone heard of him? Is he O.K.? Why isn`t he posting any more? I`ve done searches for recent posts by him on some of the forums where he used to write (Autopia, MOL, TID, DW) and he hasn`t posted anything for months!

Kevin was a wonderful guy both as a person (as far as you can tell by reading on-line discussion forums) and as a professional. I always enjoyed reading his forum posts: he knew sooo much about detailing, and he always was approachable and eager to help those of us who don`t know half as much. I miss reading his most-interesting posts and I`d love to hear from him again. And I`m sure that tons of detailing amateurs and professionals would agree with me.

How funny! I think a couple guys showed let me know about your post awhile back.

I had to minimize my time spent of the forums so that I could work on a website. Otherwise, I`d end up spending too much time posting instead of working! Then with the autopia virus situation... I decided to avoid the area until the coast was clear.

I see that you had oodles upon oodles of responses... how unsettling.

Thanks for the very kind words. :chuckle:

There is no one (and I mean NO ONE) with as much technical ability and analysis to explain detailing mechanics as he does. His write-ups are the anti-thesis to the idiom that "Detailing is not rocket science". To those of you who feel the technical explanations are beyond the scope of this forum fail to see the physics and mechanics involved in detailing. It explains the "why" things work as they do in detailing.

Do I understand them, and more importantly, can I apply all? NO!! But they do make for some interesting reading.

Maybe we should start a Autopian detailing award equivalent to the Nobel Prize and name it the Waxman Memorial Prize. Unfortunately, "memorial" implies someone who has passed on, which he obviously has not. Plus he`d be the hands-down winner every year to his own namesake prize; highly unfair!

Kevin is far beyond normal human beings and in your words "is the perfect anti-thesis to the idiom: "Detailing is not rocket science".

In fact it seems the only people who argue with Kevin are the ones who don`t grasp the concepts he is saying and think that there "because I said so" explanations are equally as impressive.

The stalking continues. You figure after someone was banned from more then a few forums, they would learn how to act like a normal person, but day 1 back here and its the same story.

    Dear Bryan,

I`m afraid your acting on parinoia. I dropped in the TID chat last night under the name RobertB. I was enjoying watching you polish the Audi and having conversation with Kevin. Another person joined us and logged in as boogereater. Not sure who this person was (but have my suspisions) they started acting up, so I left. Not sure what transpired from that point forward, hence I was asking if you got the Audi done

Have I not tried to send you business before when I see someone looking for a detailer in Atlanta? If I didn`t like you I wouldn`t have bothered

Thanks for reporting me to Admin on my first day back buddy for something you had no reason to

    Regards,

    Flash

Flash, As far as I know you have never referred anyone to me.

The mods have suggested to me that I have the option of placing you on my ignore list.

I think that would be the best option.
