You guys want a shout box? Post away! Pretend like this is the shout box and post your random comments. As long as nobody starts flaming people or gets vulgar then I don`t see any reason why it won`t be the longest thread on DC shortly.

Actually, just about anything. The old one was often just a weather report, then it might be birthday announcements.
How long you will be away from the board. (So people don`t worry that something is wrong if you don`t post for an extended period.)
Announcing a trip to a certain area of the country. (Someone might want to try to meet up with you from that area.)
Inviting someone to the chat room.
Letting someone know they have a PM or that their PM box is full.
Looking for a particular product or person.
Any of the things you might want to get on the board where lots of people will see them.

The fact that not everyone uses the same acronym for the same product can sometimes be confusing, too.Originally Posted by joyriide1113

SHOUT!!
I`m not having lunch today. I ate a late breakfast. Also, they have a "decoder ring" page on Autopia that I find very useful for the acronyms. It would be nice if DC had a page like that as well. We could start a thread for acronyms, but it would take forever to find one acronym in a huge thread. Also, yes LSP stands for last step product.

dc does have an acronym thread.
"I`m staying out of it."
Do you mean this one?? http://www.detailcity.com/forums/sho...t=acronym+list
It is in the process of being updated - I`m sure that it will be "sticky worthy" when it`s done!!
Don`t it always seem to go, you don`t know what you`ve got til it`s gone?WAC06/04/40 ~ 07/16/07
