Talking It could be worse. (And will be)

Our most recent introduction to our forecast.

Heavy snow is falling in the Dakotas and Montana, but Iowa should see only cold weather tonight as lows fall into the 30s.

They are actually predicting a low of 29 degrees Friday morning.

And people thought I was crazy for taking the boats out so early. Ever winterize a boat in a snow/sleet storm? I have.

Sorry to hear that Charles, We`ve still been in the 80`s and now down to the 70`s, but the 60`s will be here this weekend.
I don`t want to think about snow for another few months.

For those that live in places that get snow this early...why do you live there? I just don`t understand why you would want it to be cold just about all year round. Snow is cool when it SNOWS, I mean like a foot or more one time during the winter but snow just after the first week of October?!!? I mean if you like it, all the power to you!

    Heat wave!
The predicted high in Iowa for today is 11 degrees celsius, (52f)

I think it`s that Global Warming the scientists are always talking about.

I shouldn`t have spoken. Overcast and cool here, but no frost.

We think the same thing about the people that live in the South East and put up with the hurricanes and tropical storms, the people in the South that put up with the 110 degree heat, the people in the West that put up with the mudslides and earthquakes. Not to mention the areas with the brushfires.
We did consider relocating at one time, but I don`t think trading one uncomfortable condition for another would work for me. I think every part of the country has its good/bad points and whatever you get used to seems to work out for most of us. Besides, if we had good weather all the time, what would we complain about?

It`s weird, I saw a sign downtown that said 91F, but 4 hours northwest of us they got three and half feet of snow. Go high pressure.

Being surrounded by the ocean, do you get a lot of snow? I know that being near the Great Lakes seems to contribute to lots of snowfall, but does the sal````er create the same problems? Lots of fog?
