    Recognize this building???..

Coming home from the Taste of Lexus Performance Event 2 weeks ago(post at bottom of page) I snapped a couple pictures of the beautiful NY skyscrappers. Anyway I got this building-in-progress while waiting in bumper to bumper traffic trying to get into the Lincoln Tunnel. I`m just curious if anyone knows what building it is, because the other night I saw an iPod commercial and they had this exact building in it which I though was kinda cool. I also printed it out on 8.5x11 and i`m really impressed with it. I`m going to bring it over to my friend`s house and hopefully his father will show me how to straighten out the building. I`m a total n00b at PS and the only real things I know how do is auto levels and auto colors

im guesing you mean the whole picture was crooked....in that case u can just select the whole picture in photoshop and then click on the edit-tranform-rotate. then click on a corner and turn the whole picture. then you can just trim up the edges with the crop tool.

is that what ur talking about.....i dont know if i got the question.

Sometimes knowing what you want to do is the key to learning. I`ve been using photoshop for years and I`m still figuring things out that I didn`t know. The better you get the more you will find it can do. I just got CS2 and now I get to try and figure out what all is different. They changed more from CS to CS2 than they did from 7.0 to CS.

Here`s a tip for doing what you want... choose the ruler tool, click on the top edge of the bldg and then the bottom along the same line. Now go to free rotate and the degrees off vertical will be automatically entered, just click OK and voila!

Hmmm... see? Learn something new every day. Where is this `ruler tool`? I`m looking for it and I can`t find it.

I have a Mac but I`m sure the placement of the tools is the same in Windoze :boxing: Click and hold on the eyedropper (just above the magnifying glass) in the tool bar and select the ruler.

I think most people use the eyedropper tool there and forget that there are other options underneath it. Adobe would do well to put the ruler under a different button that doesn`t get used too much.
