I passed!

About six months ago I left a management position with a very large company to do more work and make less money in law enforcement. Well, the academy is finally over and this morning I took the state test to be certified as a peace officer (TCLEOSE). I`ve been nervous about this test for the last week but I passed with an 82! I had the second highest grade (highest was an 86....did I mention this test is hard?). Anyway, I`m pumped. This is a huge weight off my shoulders. I`ll be sworn in next week and I start the field training program in about two weeks.

I`ll be a cop in less than a week! Woohoo! :lol

Take home cars might be a thing of the past here pretty soon. Gas prices are starting to hit a lot of departments.

Yeah, take home cars are about the only thing my department doesn`t have. Don`t know that I care too much about take home cars, though. Always seemed like it would be a target sitting in front of my house.
