Out riding tonight at the local park which follows the Trinity River so there is lots of wildlife. I regularly see snakes, skunks, rabbits, bobcats, armadillos, racoons and possums.

Tonight, I see a bobcat with a freshly killed rabbit. Didn`t seem to bother the cat that I stopped and got close enough to take pics. Wish I had my digital instead of my cellphone camera though.

Cool pics. The closest I`ve ever been to a "Marlin Perkins moment" was having a red-tailed hawk try to pounce on a mouse about 10 feet from my car (I was on a slow frontage road, hawk landed in the median just to my left).

Back to pics of cats, I saw this picture show up online a few weeks ago. It was taken somewhere in Colorado, I forget where exactly. The picture`s not mine, the caption is:

Can you imagine looking up from your morning coffee to see that in your back yard? I think I would have been tempted to get a laser pointer out. Get the dot, kitty, get the dot!

Talk about timing! Nice shot. The digital camera would have been sweet. Make sure you have a rear view mirror! Wouldn`t want my back to some wild cats out there.

Did you guys ever see this video before? It`s one of the most popular videos on You Tube and National Geographic made a documentary on it. It is one of the rarest sights ever caught on video. It`s insane. It goes slow, but you`ll see.

I see several bobcats a month out at River Legacy Park (where I ride) in Arlington.
