I use to get 20 mpg in the city with my car , now I get 21.5 since switching to top tier gasoline, in this case Shell.
Long time ago I owned and operated a taxi cab. Got it up to 475,000 mi. on 3 different engines before it wasn`t cost effective to put more money into it. Not sure how long it went on the first one, maybe around 200,000
130,000 on an 1989 Acura Legend before the tranny started acting up. Then I had 107,000on a honda accord before a replaced tranny went in (Honda ate tge cost due to a recall). I would have kept the accord but the tranny was acting up again so I traded for an Acura TL.
2007 Acura TL WDP
2003 Acura MDX MBP
Got 165k on a 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the I-6 engine and 42re tranny. Only thing thats been replaced is a fuel pump and a water pump.
Its towed a 2500lb boat and a 3k lb pop up a pretty good lot.
2004 Jeep liberty w/ stuff.
I have 170k on the 91` Accord. Only hasn`t started once, and that was the standard Honda main relay problem. Still has the original clutch even. I would like to get it to 200K , so we`ll see how it holds up.
1991 Frost White Honda Accord EX
2005 Breakwater Blue Lexus RX330
2005 Satin Silver Metallic Acura TL
Got 179,000 mi. on my 1997 E36 BMW 318i. Origional Engine and Tranny. Runs like a champ!

My last vehicle was a 1990 Ford Probe. It went to 240,000 miles on the original engine/transaxle.
2004 Daytona Blue Nissan 350Z Touring :bounce
Had an 86 BMW 325es with 290k on it, was still running well when I donated it
The had an 88 528e with 380k on it, was running strong when sold
My DD now is a 94 Mark VIII with 149k on it, drive it 350 a week back and forth for work, avg 25mpg in stop and go traffic
Subaru Outback, 220,000 and still going. The 4wd system is going to blow out soon though.
Once you buff black, you never go back
87 Volvo 240 wagon with over 400,000 on it.The odometer stopped at three hundred something thousand and the car was driven for more than five years after that. When I parked it two or three years ago it still was running. I also had a 91 240 wagon with over 300,000 on it. Great cars.
My first car was a 94 Toyota Camry that had almost 150k when I sold it. I think it is still alive and kicking 3 years later too. It never failed to start.
94 Honda Civic EX currently with 173k miles. Still going strong and to think I`ve never even gotten any scheduled maintenances (just oil changes)!

The transmission was rebuilt at 190,000 miles and then 5 more time under warranty before I got a good used transmission instead.
The alternator made it to 175k, started to 255k, a/c compressor to 260k. Still have the original fuel pump when I sold it, interior had no squeaks or rattles, power windows/locks never failed, all the gauges worked perfectly, only had to replace one knob, etc.
Seriously considering buying another 4th gen Accord to use for work.
148,000 KM and still going for my wife`s now winter car only 2000 Grand Am Gt.
Lowest was 118KM my 96 Ford Probe GT I was rear ended at an intersection the weekend I bought it destroying the car.
You can say any foolish thing to a dog, and the dog will give you a look that says, `Wow, you`re right! I never would`ve thought of that!`
