Long time ago I owned and operated a taxi cab. Got it up to 475,000 mi. on 3 different engines before it wasn`t cost effective to put more money into it. Not sure how long it went on the first one, maybe around 200,000

130,000 on an 1989 Acura Legend before the tranny started acting up. Then I had 107,000on a honda accord before a replaced tranny went in (Honda ate tge cost due to a recall). I would have kept the accord but the tranny was acting up again so I traded for an Acura TL.

I have 170k on the 91` Accord. Only hasn`t started once, and that was the standard Honda main relay problem. Still has the original clutch even. I would like to get it to 200K , so we`ll see how it holds up.

87 Volvo 240 wagon with over 400,000 on it.The odometer stopped at three hundred something thousand and the car was driven for more than five years after that. When I parked it two or three years ago it still was running. I also had a 91 240 wagon with over 300,000 on it. Great cars.

My first car was a 94 Toyota Camry that had almost 150k when I sold it. I think it is still alive and kicking 3 years later too. It never failed to start.

280,285 miles on my Accord when I sold it. The original engine was replaced at 156,000 miles with an engine that had 55,000 miles on it (engine had developed a light knock-probably a wrist pin), so when I sold the car, the replacement engine had 180,000 on it. The transmission was rebuilt at 190,000 miles and then 5 more time under warranty before I got a good used transmission instead.

The alternator made it to 175k, started to 255k, a/c compressor to 260k. Still have the original fuel pump when I sold it, interior had no squeaks or rattles, power windows/locks never failed, all the gauges worked perfectly, only had to replace one knob, etc.

Seriously considering buying another 4th gen Accord to use for work.
