    $14,000 computer before monitor?

Well, maybe not $14,000 sticker price, but according to an inflation calculator I checked out, what cost $9000 in 1989 would cost $14028.58 in 2005!! That is before the monitor and mouse too. :eek

I`d say that is pretty unreal. I went to www.alienware.com to price out something comparable. I couldn`t even get close to $14,000. I did make it up to $9332.00 though. Just start with this machine and start adding options. It is amazing how far we have come in a short 16 years. My PDA has more than that Tandy has. Plus it included the monitor. :lol

haha. With that setup you probable wouldn`t be able to view all the colors on this site! lol. Computer prices has really dropped and gotten alot better than what they use to be I can say that. Alienware is kinda over priced and can get alot better customizing it yourself. I have a $1,500.00 PC that would`ve cost me around $4,000.00 is I had a company like Dell, Alienware, or IBM build. Can`t remember the link but when I find it I will post a setup of a computer system I would love to have. And of course have FreeBSD (FreeBSD=Unix) on it. Windows drives me crazy!
