    WilliamHBonney,

Yes I received full benefits. The Army downsized after Desert Storm/Desert Shield and allowed a few of us to voluntarily retire early. You don`t get as much retirement as those that served a full 20, but you start your civilian career earlier. I enjoyed the Army, but I was ready to leave.

That has to rank as one of the most knee jerk reaction Acts Congress ever passed.

You should see it on the IT end. Total criminal robbery. I constantly get calls for "Project Managers that know how to implement SOX procedures" from innocent managers and CIO`s. The PM`s all end up working a year or so trying to get some file and e-mail retention policies in place, then they get an actual SOX audit or hire Deloitte as a independant autitor, the checkbooks come out. HELP, "WE NEED 5 PM`s with SOX experience and 3 Win2k3 architects to get us out of this".

As soon as these small banks and hedge funds get the IPO bug, its total misery.

My brother has 10 in and 10 to go to get full benefits.

the guys that got the early out in the air force got full retirement benefits with a lower percentage retirement check....

when i retire form the air force in 2015 i will bring home roughly 2400 a month with my retirement check.....its good to know i will get that as soon as i retire at age 39 and not have to wait until im 60....

i figure between my retirement check, my wife being a dental hygenist and me owning a mobile detailing business when i retire at 39 i should be doing pretty damn good

The way that I figured it was the retirement makes the house payment and I have to work to eat. Allowed me to take some chances in business that I would of be able to take if I didn`t have another income. Besides my wife just retired last year from Federal job. I retired in the same month that I turn 38 years old so it was nice feeling.
