First Holiday in 6 Years.. First Time in USA

This week, I fly out for the first time in my life to America, for my first holiday in six years (and also my first flight, which I`m more than a little nervous about!). But I`m seriously looking forward to a holiday, and visiting part of a huge country I`ve never seen before in my life.

My girlfriend is from PA (goes to university in St Andrews where I met her), so she is going to be showing me the sights, including a trip to Washington DC for the weekend!

Can`t wait!! :bounce

(Also, I haven`t seen my gf for two months, so I cant wait to see her again too! :bounce )

Don`t be nervous about your flight...this is not very long flight between US and UK! And get some beer or liquor while you on board.....you will feel better! Or bring interesting book with you.

I`m coming to Coopersburg. But will be travelling across much of PA... The sheer size of the country amazes me, I`m used to being able to drive from coast to coast in just a couple of hours in Scotland!

CanÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t offer any suggestions on stuff to do in PA (IÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ve driven around Scotland more than the east coast of the US) but IÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ve no doubt youÃ¢â‚¬â„¢re in good hands and will have a great time.

If youÃ¢â‚¬â„¢re into reading travel tips, hereÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s a site by a guy in the UK who does a great job describing travel over here for somebody coming from over there.

wow... congrats, i hope you enjoy your stay, east coast is very different from the west coast. You`d probably feel more at home at the east coast. come to california when you have time.

Hope you have a nice time in the USA. Just don`t complain to your friends/family about the "weird English accent" that the Americans have when you return to Scotland!
