Yeah drivin my moms BMW that was replacing the truck while it is being fixed, by the same cop as the one in on my wreck, and in front of my G*D DAMN house!!! What an embarrasment that was. Radar did not go off, he just thought I was goin fast. "said" he clocked me at 68 in a 55, but like I said, radar never went off. He sure slammed on brakes fast and I just pulled over b/c I knew I was in trouble. Ticket is $140, what options do I have to deal with this? Is there really any way to make this better? I used a lawyer on my last ticket 2yrs ago, but this one I dont know about.

    Yall got any tips?

You can always get a lawyer and try to plea bargain it down; did you admit to anything? Pulling over before he lights `em up is half an admission...my cop friend says always refuse to make a statement when pulled over or involved in an accident--that is your right.

if you haven`t gotten a ticket within the past three years, go to traffic school and that way your insurance company won`t find out about it...

So he was going the other direction, passed you, then jammed on the brakes and turned around and pulled up behind you? Had you slowed down by then? Did he say he clocked you with radar? If it`s a radar ticket there`s always the standard calibration questions, etc, which might get you off on a technicality. If he paced you (or says he did), it`s going to be his word against yours.

I`d say since there is no evidence of wrongdoing, go to court and at least give it a shot.

I worked with a traffic "expert" and he could call out the speed of a moving vehicle pretty daggon accurate.
