    Digital Camera Help

    Hello everyone!

I am looking to buy my own digital camera this summer. I want probably 5 megapixels and have a budget of 200 bucks. That doesnt have to include the extra storage. Anyoen have any brands or models that they reccomend?

    Thanks

    Greg

I have been very happy with my Sony DSC W-1. It takes pretty good pics IMO. I don`t know how much one would cost now, but if you shop around online you can get it a good deal cheaper than you can in stores.
I still don`t believe in grit guards.

I ask this almost every time a digital camera question comes up and you are not an exception. Why do you need a 5 MP camera? Will you be enlarging cropped images or printing anything larger than an 8x10? If not, you will never notice the difference between a 3 MP and a 5 MP. Go for fewer MP and a higher quality camera.

I have a Pentax Optio S5i 5 MP camera that`s a ultracompact if you would like. Fits around your budget also. Very new!

I just always figured that it would be of higher quality. My mom has a 3 mp and it is decent quality but i just wanted a bump up.

    Thanks for the advice!!

you`ll never know when youll want to enlarge a great picture you`ve taken. This is why I went with a 5 MP Sony DSC-T1. :dancin Its super small and it takes awesome photos. It is expensive due to its small size though.

I found the Pentax Optio S5i 5 MP for $300 bucks at bestbuy with 100 bucks in rebates. I also found it for $227 on another site. Are these good deals?
