    Unhappy I don`t think this one will buff out . . .

Driving home from work this afternoon, I was hit by a red-light runner. My light had been green for at least 5 seconds (by eyewitness accounts), when I ventured slowly into the intersection, I caught a glimpse of another vehicle speeding down the cross street. I hit my brakes as hard as I could & was at a dead stop when he hit my left front corner, and here`s the results . . .

The good thing is that I was able to walk away from this without a scratch (I am feeling a little stiff & sore now though) & witnesses did stop & offer assistance.

And the lesson learned from this, is that if I had not entered the intersection slowly, checking as I went, I would have been in the middle of the street & would not be typing this post. So please, be VERY defensive out there, folks!!

WOW, Norah. I am glad that you are ok. It is just metal and plastic though. It CAN be replaced. Where would we be without our NORAH!!!!!???!!!

BTW Norah, your car looks dirty. You think it if was all polished up, the other guys car would slipped right off yours?
Sorry, just trying to make a little humor in a bad situation.

Thank you all very much for your good wishes I know that it`s just metal & plastic, etc, but it was my SHINY metal & plastic (I knew you`d all bust my chops for the dusty hood, but the gardeners were at work today with their leaf blowers - but it WAS SHINY under that!!

Chee, he was driving an 88 Mercury Topaz & he after he hit me, he spun around once & a half & ended up against the curb facing the wrong way! The V barely moved!!

I`m sorry to hear about your accident but glad to hear everything is alright. I would get a checkup if I were you for precautionary reasons. Hopefully the CRV gets back up to perfection in no time.

Good thing your ok. People who run red lights should be treated like those who drink and drive.

Your trucks not that bad, a new front clip, probably a rad support, lights. I bet the insurance company has a few that got hit in the rear they can use parts from.

Norah, I am glad that you are ok, like everyone mentioned, you cannot be replaced. I see people running red lights like you mentioned, not yellow, but red. Especially around this time of year, more people are in a hurry.

Man everything happens after I go to bed.

Norah, all I read in your post is that you are alright. Stiff and sore....Yes but you are here. You are so very right when it comes to defensive driving. I am glad that you made it thru alright albeit stiff and sore. In the morning I would make arrangements to get yourself checked out. Lot of times it is the after shock that will effect you most. One cannot be to careful.

Am glad that there were witnesses and by standers there to avail their help. As would any one of the members here at DC. You are important to a lot of members here at DC. Take care of yourself. WE would be wont without YOU!!

I agree... they should throw the book at people that run redlights and cause accidents. Its the worst kind of carelessness
