It really clutters up the front page when looking at new posts. Not only that the pictures are so subjective and anyone can alter a pic to make it look better. I just think that it would be the boards better.

    j/k bro.

Some people are very good detailers and can`t take pics worth a darn either.

You could always just click on the forum button and go to the sections that interest you.

I think you should just post in the thread with the pictures you find altered, let the detailer answer.

I browse the board by clicking "new posts" so it really doesn`t matter to me.

Unfortunately that doesn`t work. It turns into a battle of words and the "poster" always wins when mods are involved. That said, I just don`t click on the posts that I don`t want to read. Click and brag is high on that list unless it`s you and a couple others.

I don`t think the intent of the OP was to suggest that their was a lot of alteration going on, but that the C&B is worthless because pictures can be altered. I myself don`t understand what "cluttering" is going on of the "front page"; I`m not aware of any special C&B area...the pictures that are on the home page are gallery samplings, which is different from C&B threads (and I don`t find these pictures to clutter the page, anyway).

I personally hardly look at Click & Brag anymore, when you`ve seen one shiny car you`ve seen them all...sorta. However, I don`t agree with the premise promoted on that other forum that C&B isn`t worth the bandwidth, I think it`s a necessary part of the community.

Detailing is a visual hobby/business and personally, I like looking at other people`s work, especially when they are able to show before and afters and what they did to improve the vehicle`s appearance.

Not this again; if you don`t like the white cement, stay over at Dclub. That whole place is for people who don`t like it here--so if you don`t like things here, there`s no reason to try to change them, you have other options.

I’m going to take your advise and leave this forum. It’s pointless following the same path as countless other detailers with high values before me and expect a different result. I’m not compassionate for the foxes however I do feel for the hens. Most of us who protest the obvious issues have been around the block a few more times and recognize the BS. We protest for the benefit of our fellow detailers and not to benefit our selves. I’m not to sure why fellow detailers have decided to look the other way or even worse, perpetuate the problem???

    Have a good one!!!

I look forward to seeing the pictures from other detailers. And as a car enthusiast, besides a detail enthusiast, I like looking at some of the nice iron that gets posted.

What is pointless? Who is getting hurt by white cement? Newbs are being fooled into thinking they can make a car shiny? Guess what--THEY CAN. I will never understand why one member`s pictures are so life-altering (or threatening) to some people. Get a grip. Doged, I generally find your posts to be insightful and seemed helpful to those who are professional detailers; I`m not sure why you chose this topic as your "last stand"

I agree with both Scott and Chuck; it`s nice to see pictures of great before and afters, as well as some fine automobiles.

    Pictures will always be subjective.
