Oh sheesh...all these posts about doing interiors with the (newer model) GG electric 3" are just killing me! I`m getting seriously tempted to buy one to replace my v1.0 unit.

DetailersDomain- Heh heh, now you stop that! :chuckle:

But seriously...I have everything I need (including brushes) other than the newer GG unit, and I get my polishers as gifts See, it`s one of those "what can you buy for this guy?!?" things where my wife gets me polishers/tools/etc. that I`m too cheap to buy for myself. I don`t think I`ve paid for a polisher since the `80s!

How do you apply the cleaner? Coat the seat first with cleaner then use the brush? Or add cleaner to the brush then use on the seat?

we spritz some 1z deep cleaner on the brush as well as the surface that we were working on.

And this is done a panel at the time? Or how do you divide the seat? I`m worried about the product drying up on the seat

I would say one section of the seat at time. don`t use too much pressure or a high speed it will splatter and it can go thru the coating on the seat if you are too aggressive.

I see in your tutorial you used between 5 and 6. Is this necessary or just what you felt as best? I am less experienced and would probably stick to 2-3 speed to try to mitigate risk of taking the top coat off the leather.

Interesting. Good to know! And I see you are using the deep plastic cleaner. Is this safe for most leathers? I didn`t see it as a use anywhere else but this thread

what about using this same process using a cyclo machine.. i have one but have a hard bristle for the carpets only... my arms are getting really sore from getting that dirt out of the leather by hand... so this process would be great but i dont want to buy another machine if i dont have to.

sure you can use a cycle, however it might be too bulky in an interior of say a small sports car.
