gigondaz- Thanks for the additional info.

Your Kiwi brushes sound very different from mine, but then mine were old when I was born! But I get what you`re saying- a stiffness that`s just sufficiently firm for use on carpets is a good guideline.

And yeah, older leather can pose some real challenges. Sidenote: I`ve seen Lexol damage antique leather that had survived just fine for centuries (I warned him... ). I won`t say that I *never* steam automotive leather, but it`s usually only when I figure I have nothing to lose.

And yeah#2, Menzerna seems to be pretty popular for a M205 follow-up. Something else that worked well (I gotta say "Thanks for the suggestion!" to wannafbody ) was ZAIO. I`m not a Zaino user (same opinion as your customer), I did get a nice finish when I followed M205 with ZAIO (this was on Ford clear, softer than I usually work on) and it looks OK on "Vibrant White".

Sorry for being a bit out-of-topic here.

IMO, ZAIO and Klaase AIO helps to clean up lots (but not all) of those "extraneous" polishing oils from the 205 + 85RD

So, it gives a clearer look (enhanced clarity), which, to many people, could mean a brighter, more reflective and high-clarity look.

I`m doing an extensive 5 day job on a Toyota Celica now involving sanding (aww:chuckle:I can hear you cringe!...but customer demanded it!), and will post some pics soon...DAxx! you`ll be impressed! - Megs 105, Megs 85, countless rounds of Megs 205, and slow jewelling by PO85RD...followed by few layers of carnauba. MMMM.....!

While we`re off-topic I did *NOT* find any of my various AIOs effective at removing M205 oils, sorta surprised me how *ineffective* they were! The best for that was Autoglym SRP, but that stuff can fool ya with temporary differences. Can`t speak as to Menzerna oils as I`ve always just washed `em off if they were a concern.

The improved appearance I got from following M205 with ZAIO was apparently from the mild abrasives in the latter as I`d cleaned off the M205 oils beforehand.

Heh heh, wait until that Celica owner finds out how expensive a decent repaint is :chuckle: At least then he can have `em lay on the extra clear and take the care to give him a smooth-as-glass paintjob!

You oughta take some ETG readings on that car, see if the wonderful end-result came at much of a long-term cost or not
