The G8/G9 are the newest generation with removable cords, my G15/G21 do not have the removeable cords.
I upgraded my GG3 & GG6 and am absolutely pleased with my purchases.

The G9 & G15 are in separate categories - I feel as if the G15 has much more power than the G9. If I could only purchase one though, it would be the G9 - the additional throw of the G15 doesn`t make it ideal for most newer vehicles.

Fair enough, didn`t mean to put you on the spot...but I`ll be keeping an eye peeled for the experiences of other Autopians, and I`m kinda relieved that I didn`t drop hints for Accumulatorette about a G8 after all. [Heck], I still haven`t tried out my BOSS15 yet

Are you saving it in mint condition for that time it`s gonna be a collector`s item?

That g15 may be a hot commodity depending on peoples reaction to the new one.

SeanKTM & Coatings=crack- Once I start using it, it sure won`t be in mint condition any more! And heh heh...I never give any thought to whether my stuff is "collectible", and/but IME very, *VERY* few things in life really are

I am already seeing the BOSS machines being sold for more online. Still waiting on the weather, so I can break out the new G15 and form my own opinion on it. So far, not a whole of people have reviewed the new machines, especially the G15 after September which is when they said they made some adjustments after the initial hiccups.

That`s probably a balanced view. And, for a full-time pro, I think the machine is more valuable in use than a $100+ profit you will make on a discontinued workhorse.

I added a 15mm throw but I do miss the more precision rotation a 8mm has when close to an edge. If I worked on early 60`s Lincolns, with their flat surfaces, a 21mm would be great but with the curves of current car design, I`m thinking "less is more" when it comes to throw.

Those early `60`s Lincolns were real beauties... Did you add a new G15 to a G9 setup? If not, what is your line up right now?

In the 70’s I waxed the neighbor’s ‘62 Lincoln by hand twice a year.... I feel my rotator cuffs are still recovering. My parents succession of Buick 225’s were a good warmup.

I’ve had a Beast for a decade and added a cordless Finisher. The Finisher is a kinder, gentler experience.

Other machines: Pixie, Griots cordless & PC. In retirement, Waxmaster, Craftsman rotary I bought in ‘77.

I`ve been using the Boss15 for a few yrs now w/ no issues.....Works great w/ the Griots 5.5`` m/f pads.....Lot of hand grips which helps w/ comfort......Doesn`t stall for me, but has some gear whine, similar to a Milodon or Pete Jackson gear drive......I`d also say a Rupes 12mm would work as well, using 5.5mm pads.......

Oh man, I appreciate your posting that

Heh heh, wonder how many here related to *that* reference?!? I myself simply loved it, and now I`m almost looking forward to trying my BOSS15 some time (it`s been sitting here unused since Christmas of, uhm...I dunno, a while back ).
