Im thinking of getting the 3" backing plate.

Looking for some opinions. I am thinking of getting the Griots 3" backing Plate/Pads for my GG 6" DA. Anyone here have any experience with this backing plate ? Any thoughts/comments/help is appreciated. Thank you.Im thinking of getting the 3" backing plate.-screen-shot-2018-10-21-8.52.33-pm.png

I don`t have that specific one, but I did put a 3" backing plate on my 6" GGDA and love it.

The one I have is a thin yellow, and I wish it was a little thicker to push the pad out farther. I think the one you`re looking at would be perfect for that.

The thick style backing plate is the most well rounded, however I do also have the thin style for those harder paint systems.

The Griot’s machine with that plate is the reason I sold my Rupes 75.

I`ve been getting a whiff of Buyer`s Remorse over mine for the same reason...well, not "buyer`s" as it was a gift, but, well...I could live without the Rupes even if it is convenient to have dedicated machines for different things.
