Griots creams and pad use help please

Hello all, I am new to the art of polishing cars. I have a few questions and after searching have not been able to find answers so here they are
    - If I use the Perfecting cream on an Orange pad is it smart to then at a later date use that same Orange pad with the Griots AIO ? I am thinking the polishing particles are larger in the Perfecting cream then the AIO and if I don`t get all of the Perfecting cream polishing compound out of the pad it would make the AIO less effective because the bigger particles may still be in the pad. Is this correct or am i wrong ?
    - Should I make certain Orange pads for the Perfecting cream and other Orange pads for the AIO ?

Thank you for ANY help or suggestions.

It’s always best to keep separate pads for each product. But you gotta work with what you have. Just wash it out thoroughly and I think you’ll be fine.
