So what is the deal with Griots warranty now. Are all previously purchased product under this new policy/2 years?

That question just made me go look at the box of my GG6 to read the warranty card but I don`t have one in the box. Must have pitched it. Generally the warranty that came with the tool will govern that tool.

    You still have the box?!?

I throw everything away (including instructions) as soon as I get a new tool

I`ll agree it might not be a hard sell.
But.... Until I see the majority of people saying they are ditching their Rupes because the Griots Boss` are so much better. I`m not chancing it. Owning the 15 and Mini, I may treat myself to a 21mm throw by Christmas, but I`m not going to be Mikey.

    i have a PC7424 (pre-xp) from about 2002 in its original box. It`s a good wax/sealant applicator with a 4" pad.

I think you will see more long throw polishers on the market for less money since Griot`s chose to price it closer to Rupes (why leave money on the table).

They don`t come with a warranty card. Little unusual as most electrical tools have a written warranty in the box.

I agree. HF will come out with one if they haven`t already. Looks like this new Griot is close to the UK DAS Pro Plus with a few tweaks.

Plenty of cheaper large throw tools out there to choose from. IMO the Griot`s tool is of higher quality than all the other large throw DA`s currently available, so I`m surprised by how many have issue with the price of it when they are okay with the price of Rupes tools. I`ve always said I have no problem paying good money for a quality built tool...

So you`ll pay more for an Italian made tool with half the warranty?

I`ve been running my 21 RUPES practically everyday for the past 2+ years. Other then blowing threw a couple of backing plates there have been no issues

All day everyday I will by Italian made over Made In China. I think Griots grossly underestimated this factor
