    Re: Griot`s PFM Deals

One thought that comes up is how were they washed?

I used to split my microfiber loads into "Dirty" (Wheels, jams, interior, etc), and "Clean" (wash media, glass, drying, etc towels). I then started to notice that any of my glass towels were linting. I`ve since switched to separately hand washing my glass towels. Just a thought.

I too wonder about what PFMs for Glass that lint have gone through...I`m an absolute *FANATIC* about MF Lint, and those are the only plush MFs I`ve ever used that don`t lint..and I`m kinda expecting that they will eventually, just like every other MF I`ve ever had. But *zero* lint so far. I don`t even let mine get *near* other MFs and I even wipe the shop clothes dryer out before I put them in there.

I too hand wash glass MFs and pfm towel I use for drying.

ps: Acummulator, I have no idea how I disliked your post. So I liked it and now is a neutral vote. But I agree with your comments on MF eventually linting but that is not expected to happen to these particular towels, having seen so little action. I bet the “couple other” towels are to blame. I am now adding a like to A’s post

    Re: Griot`s PFM Deals

Now a twist. I just realized the two I used were “virgins”, out of the package never washed when I washed the windows. They were “group” washed AFTER I was done with that car. They have not been used since their first washing. So these linted first use out of the package.
It should not matter if they are not supposed to lint, that they were not washed before hand???
    I hate windows!

IMO that first wash might indeed be critical. Textile plants are generally not the neatest places and I can easily imagine lint being on an otherwise OK MF when it first comes out of the package. Shouldn`t be that way, but, well...

Today`s cleaning was not as linty using the washed towels. I went over again with a diaper to remove the balance. I hate windows!

Well, the Pittsburgh-area Pep Boys are about to get bought out like toilet paper tomorrow. Thanks for sharing.

Did those go fast or is it a b&m store only deal?

    Re: Griot`s PFM Deals

lloyddrm and acuRAS82- heh heh, OK...thanks. I don`t really pay attention to the likes/thanks, but I do appreciate that "make it right" sentiment! Had I noticed a dislike I`ll admit I probably would`ve wondered...

But see, I just now (Friday) noticed!

John U- Ah, that diminished linting might mean you`re now on the right track.

When MF Lint is unbearable, remember the GG Polypropylene Window Wipes Zero linting and they can be reused if you go about it right. Pricey though, and I gather some here don`t like them (though I can`t imagine why).

I don’t like them because they didn’t help remove streaking for me. I have a box of them sitting in my garage

Ah, I appreciate that feedback! Interesting about the streaking, which I gather is *NOT* an issue with your other Glass Towels. That`s exactly what I use them *for*, a final pass on glass I`ve already done with my PFMs for Glass. Yet another YMMV...

I want to get PFMs for glass. I can use all the help I can when it comes to glass.
