Selling a Rupes 21 that I bought but only used a couple times. Comes with 6" & 5" backing plates as well as washer mod. Also comes in original box with owners manual. Asking $375 + shipping.

Thanks for the kind words Al - much appreciated!

I`m selling it because, even though it`s a fantastic machine, I`m just more comfortable with my GG DA. That`s basically it.

Hardly. The impression I`m getting is that some folks aren`t giving the machine a fair chance/aren`t adjusting their technique to get the best out of it.

And remember, no one machine is going to be the best for everyone/every scenario. If that were the case, we wouldn`t have so many choices available.

The first few times I used the 21 and 15 I had to remind myself that a lot of downward pressure wasn`t needed. Some small adjustments were needed to get them dialed in. But back to the OP`s machine, good luck on your sale Mike. This will be a good deal for somebody.

How did you adjust your technique compared to a GG DA?

less pressure, let the machine do the work

i tried a 15 and didnt see a benefit over the GG

I then tried a 21 with a 5" plate and WHOA, its actually too much for softer paints IMO.

Ill be getting one one day

This. I still haven`t touched a 15, but with less pressure, lower machine speed, and slower arm speed, the 21 with 5" plate is a monster.
