I found a pack of 3 MF wash mitts dreadlock style at BJ`s here in Maryland. I normally buy the turtle wax woven synthetic wool style mitts, but this seems like a good deal.

    This is it:

Cobra Blue Micro-Chenille Wash Mitt: Microfiber Wash Mitt, car wash, shampoo mitt

    Are these any good?

Never used a MF wash mitt but I haven`t heard of Cobra releasing anything bad. Overpriced IMO though.

I use the cobra ones - very good mitt.

Now, here`s the catch however! There must have been several generations of them - I kept finding swirls all over freshly polished paint. I tested my wash media, and bam, it was my mitt (cobra mf) that was doing it (major scratches on cd). So I threw it out and pulled another one from the package. Tested it and same exact thing - scratches galore. I ended up throwing out 5 new ones.

Now, I also happened to order several more from autogeek recently, so I tried those out. They worked perfectly, no scratches at all. They were however, a different consistency, color, weight, and a few other things I forget, than the first ones I used (which were also from autogeek). IIRC, the first ones were a really really dark blue, these are a much lighter blue.

turns out these are not cobra branded, they are called task force, or some off brand. I will try the CD test and see how they fair. They may be relegated to wheel duty only.
