Invisible Bra

...time to formulate a plan of attack for the Maxima. As we last saw Maxine, she had been Klassed back in November and it`s about time for a reapplication. Here`s my plan of attack:



a) Wash car with Dawn and Alcohol to strip the Klasse off

b) Clay using Clay Magic bar

c) 2x-3x 3M SMR with my PC 7336 at 3 or 4

d) Klasse AIO 2x

e) Klasse SG 3x

f) Pinnacle Souveran Topper



The inside is going to be treated with EF Spot Remover and upholstery cleaner and then taken to a detailing shop with a steam extractor to clean the interior. Then I am going to clean the dash with EF HI and treat it using 303 or Vinylex.





Then I have 3 more detailing projects after this one



- My Pastor`s 2000 Concorde (Same as Maxima)

- My father`s 1999 Navigator (Yes, the dreaded Navigator)

(Same as Maxima)

- My girlfriend`s 2001 Blazer



Also, I do plan to detail my mother`s 450SL.



Also, I have a detailing project when I get the `02 Maxima.

I keep putting them off and the list keeps getting bigger, I`m really in for it when it gets warm, these people are mostly family so they don`t forget the promise I made to detail thier car for free, they`ll be cashing in on those rain checks soon enough

Grandfather`s 1995 Olds Delta 88 Royale LSS (Green - never detailed before, requires drivers side touch-up paint and blending/wetsanding due to being keyed)



Uncle`s 1996 Oldsmobile Silloette (sp?) minivan (white..... never detailed - used to transport deer during hunting season )



Aunt`s 1989 Oldsmobile 98 Royale (red - recently repainted BC/CC)



Various neighbor`s cars in various conditions, including an all original 1977 Olds Cutlass Supreme Salon (lack/white-landau-roof, car has 3500 original miles, owned by an elderly couple - only unoriginal items are battery and engine fluids - note the vehicle has probably never traveled on the highway or above 55 MPH. gets washed every 2 days year round by the owner at the local DIY coin-op, regardless of whether it needs it or not.) :scared

and those are just the cars I have agreed to do "at cost".... not counting full-paying customers.

I feel like such a piker. Just one car [the AC Cobra] to take care of, and my wifes 2000 Chevy Venture van. The 1990 Dodge Dynasty has one foot in the grave already and am afraid to detail it out, might knock the other one in.

I am planning on a great detail using Blackfire prior to installation. Here is my question: What do you use to polish after the clear bra is on? What is the recommendation about putting it on at all? Thanks in advance.

I just put clear bra on and finding the right installer is the key.

I`m getting a clear bra. The installer said to remember that plastic is porous and the reason a clear bra might yellow or discolor is that they get dirty. Keeping it clean is key. He recommended using Plexus. He also said it would be fine to top with a wax or sealant as long as it is not colored. I am planning on topping mine with a wax like P21S or similar wax. I have seen other users on the forum top with sealants like Blackfire or Powerlock.

Agree 100%. Get a recommendation from someone who had one installed a couple of years ago. Installers come & go, some go because they`re crooked & don`t stand behind their work, like one I know. When you ask people who`ve had it done for a name, often you`ll get names of folks you should stay away from; that info is gold.
