We had snow today in Dallas-luckily it was only light flurries and the roads stayed dry. My regular Wednesday customer still had all their cars done-they have a warehouse I can work in. :up

Holy crap, Scott! I would pay to detail that thing! What color is it? The M1 is my favorite car!

The 60 degree weather we had in December must have really spoiled me because it was in the teens this morning and I was really cold, brrr. At least the days are getting longer and the roads are dry. Damn, who has the cleany shine silver car amongst all the dirty salt covered other ones! haha
Michael H,
The sad thing is that there is no rain in site for Australia.
Heck, I drive mine all year as well. In fact I just had the BMW out to commemorate the first day of 2002. Driving a 2002 in 2002. Get it? :p

We just got dumped on lsat night and today in virginia. 10 inches so far and still snowing...i feel bad for my car. It was clean and now it has sand and salt all over the wheel wells and fenders.
should have stayed home from work today...oh well
I like to watch the news and see all of the southern folk getting dumped on with tons of snow.
Well it is really bad timing but my truck has been out of commission for the past two weeks and it has rained nearly everyday. My black car is so darn clean I really don`t want to drive it in the rain so I`ve been riding a motorcycle with a good Gore-Tex riding suit. Actually I like riding in the rain and I`m glad to live in California where I can ride all year round.
No snow here but they`re calling for frost tonight. Gotta bring in the tender potted plants, cover up the tomatoes and wife. =;-)
Here in Charlotte we just recieved a good 6 inches of snow. Biggest snow storm since `88! Actually, yesterday I was washing my car, and as soon as I was about to dry it, the snow started coming down. Perfect timing for me to pull the car in the garage and finish.

I have a 2010 Challanger- Inferno Red Crystal Pearl Coat- Is a Pearl Coat the same thing as a Clear Coat? And do I need to do anything different in terms of polishing or waxing? Maybe a dumb question but don`t want to try something I`ll regret later. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
This is the way I understand how Dodge is painting these colors on their Challenger vehicles. First the Pearl Coat paint jobs are a three stage process, first the base coat is sprayed, then pearl coat is next apply in which the pearl is just added, and then everything is locked down with the clear coat.

From a detailing standpoint, a 3 stage(pearl)finish is no different than your regular ole base coat clearcoat. Attack it like you would any other.
I agreed with David on the detailing stand point, but it should be a 3 step process when they paint them at the factory.
